Pam Davis’s watercolors, oils and mixed-media works map the geography of her life, from Cincinnati and the Gulf Coast to her long-time home in Addison County, Vermont. A 1974 fine arts graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, her aesthetic is informed by the nature studies of Walter Anderson and the abstractions of Paul Klee. For over 40 years, Davis has drawn inspiration from the seasonal rhythms of the meadows, woodlands and streams surrounding her studio. Alongside her late husband Dale Davis, she co-founded Middlebury’s Studio Art Center, helping a generation of young people discover and nurture their artistic voices.
